33.9 Data backup ArchivistaBox

Image tip Please note the difference between long-term and short-term data backup. The ArchivistaBox concept supports the following security levels

Mirroring to second ArchivistaBox for backup of current day changes (only ArchivistaBoxes 'Titlis' and 'Eiger' and 'Matterhorn').
daily backup USB stick, network or RSYNC.
Backup on non-rewritable media (CDs or DVDs) for long-term storage of your data.

Mirroring to a second ArchivistaBox takes place automatically when the first computer is booted. The data backup is set up under 24.5.

We recommend (and many national legal requirements demand) that you store your data on non-rewritable media for the purpose of long-term retention. These disks can be created directly on the ArchivistaBox, see 25.9.
