27.8 Cluster

A cluster is a group of several ArchivistaVM servers, which can communicate with one other. In the case of ArchivistaVM, at least one computer is a master, to which nodes can be added. The master and the nodes have to be configured on the console.

Image tip: The easiest way to access the console is to open the Start menu on the ArchivistaBox desktop (Windows key or click on the Start menu icon at the bottom left). Then enter 'term' and press the Enter key. Now you need root rights. Enter su, if you have the correct root password you will get to the root console (recognizable by the character #). Alternatively, you can log onto the ArchivistaBox from another computer using SSH (console remote maintenance).
