3.2.1 Virtualized ArchivistaBoxes
Most ArchivistaBox systems (with the exception of ScanBoxes Albis and Matterhorn) can be purchased virtualized (without hardware). The key data (performance data) of the corresponding hardware-based model apply here.
With the virtualised ArchivistaBox systems, the ArchivistaBox is operated as a server-in-server solution. Currently supported are KVM (ArchivistaVM), VMware and HyperV.
important: Please note that there is no support for USB scanners in the virtualized ArchivistaBox systems. You can use either network scanners or the Albis scan station for this, see 3.2.12.
