13.2.1 OCR recognition

The OCR recognition is a software that is used to recognize the text when a text is scanned. Here you have four choices:

  1. Leave blank if you do not want OCR recognition.
  2. Choose Commercial... Currently no difference from 'Tesseract', but remains available for compatibility with earlier version (pre 2019/XI).
  3. Select 'Tesseract' to end this open source technology. It is not possible to create searchable PDF files. For this (when using the language DeutschNeu a fracture detection is available.
  4. With 'Ocrad' a very fast, but rather not so accurate text recognition can be activated.
